Some people ask how to put together the pieces of writing they have during classes. Others ask how they can turn their experiences into stories and how to fill them with compelling characters.

I’m so excited to teach this Character and Story class because we’ll discuss these things, along with how Character and Story influence each other and how to put it all together.

As always we’ll hit pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) during three different timed exercises with prompts. We’ll explore character and story, the role of conflict, and how to structure work so it builds toward a transformational ending.

Our goal will be to leave with a clear sense of what to do next and words on the page.
